If you’re checking in and wondering whether you’ve missed anything — you haven’t.
The past few weeks have been busy on multiple fronts. I’ve been wrapping up end-of-year company matters (yes, taxes), balancing family life with my four kids, and coordinating schedules with our two primary actors to lock in a workable window to shoot the Dorothy proof-of-concept trailer. Scheduling alone has been a mission — but it’s moving in the right direction.
At the same time, I’m still actively reviewing actors and continuing to shape the creative foundation of the project. This phase is very real, very hands-on, and very much being built step by step — and yes, at this stage, it’s largely just me steering the ship.
The current plan is to begin filming after February 8, once schedules align. I’m optimistic we’ll land on dates that work for everyone involved.
I’m also planning to host a Zoom call with the full writing team soon so we can all connect, introduce ourselves, and align creatively as a group. More details on that will be shared shortly.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out, checked in, and shown patience and support. Dorothy is moving forward — carefully, thoughtfully, and with intention.
