TKP Studios is currently building the cast and crew for our scripted true-crime drama series Dorothy.
We are in early development and fundraising, so all roles listed below are currently volunteer / unpaid,
with IMDb credit, on-screen credit, and priority for future paid opportunities once funding begins.
Now Hiring: Writers (Scripted TV Series)
TKP Studios is seeking dedicated Writers to join the writing team for our scripted series
Dorothy. This is a full scripted show, not a reenactment or documentary.
- Write episode outlines, treatments, and scripts
- Help shape character arcs, pacing, and tone
- Remote, flexible, 2–4 hours/week
Compensation: Volunteer only at this stage. IMDb credit, writer credit, and priority for future paid work and potential share participation.

Casting – Scripted Series Roles
Dorothy’s Best Friend (Supporting / Recurring)
Female, 24–40, any ethnicity. Loyal, street-smart, emotionally complex. Recurring role with real dialogue and
dramatic scenes alongside Dorothy.
Compensation: Volunteer; IMDb episodic credit and priority for paid role once funded.

Detectives (Recurring Roles)
Male or female, 28–60, any ethnicity. Strong presence, grounded acting. Recurring detective roles throughout the series.

Street Bosses / 1980s Street Characters (Guest Star)
Dramatic roles with emotional and intense scenes. All ethnicities; must be comfortable with gritty but respectful material (no nudity).

Clients / Patrons (“Johns”) – Co-Star Roles
Men 21–65, any ethnicity or body type. Non-explicit, dialogue-driven scenes that show the world Dorothy navigates.

Crew Positions
Cinematographer / Director of Photography (DP)
- Help define the visual style of Dorothy
- Operate or oversee camera operation
- Work with natural and low-budget lighting setups
Compensation: Volunteer + IMDb credit + first in line for paid DP role once funding is active.

Audio Technician / Sound Mixer
- Record clean dialogue on set
- Manage boom and/or lav mics
- Monitor levels and background noise

- Work in Premiere, Resolve, Final Cut, or similar
- Help cut the Dorothy pitch trailer for streaming platforms
